Customer’s Objectives
Our customer’s immediate goals were:
- Create a one-page website to sell their services to a local target audience built on a platform they could easily learn to post new content and perform maintenance to keep costs down.
- Promote the new site. Our customer knew that it would take time for search engine optimization tactics to work the site’s ranking up to page one, so they needed a quick and cost-effective way to promote their new business.
Process
We built the customer’s new site on WordPress and used the Divi Theme by Elegant Themes. These choices offered our customer reliability and functionality, easy to learn platforms that are continually upgraded and improved, and ones that will grow with the business.
To ensure the site was search engine optimized we conducted a thorough competitive analysis and keyword research. Our results guided site messaging and optimization decisions.
To promote this new business, we developed a marketing strategy that included curating an opted-in email list from a local tradeshow that included hundreds of local prospects who were verified as interested in our client’s services.
Project Outcome
The completed and search engine optimized site quickly gained top ranking for the most critical keywords.
Since both the WordPress platform and the Divi theme are relatively easy to learn and intuitive to use, we were able to train our customer to add content and maintain the site in two, one-hour training sessions.
The email campaign was a huge success. Within the first week, the customer gained two new clients.
